Leave the World Behind’ Continues Get No. 1 Position On Netflix Charts – Bigflix

For the second consecutive week, “Leave the World Behind” maintained its position as the most-watched title on Netflix. The apocalyptic thriller, featuring Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, Mahershala Ali, and Myha’la, garnered 44.9 million views during its first full week on the streaming platform from December 11 to December 17, following its December 8 premiere.

This marks a slight increase from the previous week when it accumulated 41.7 million views within its initial three days on Netflix. Netflix has disclosed its top 10 performers for the week, with “Leave the World Behind” continuing to dominate.

Despite new releases like “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget,” which debuted at #2 with 11.9 million views after its December 15 release, and Adam Sandler’s animated comedy “Leo” (#3) and “Family Switch” (#4) with 9.4 million views each, the apocalyptic thriller maintained its stronghold at the pinnacle.

“The Super Mario Bros. Movie” secured the fifth spot. Notable mentions in the top 10 include holiday specials such as “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch,” “Holiday in the Vineyards,” and “Christmas as Usual.” On the TV front, “My Life with the Walter Boys” has gained significant traction, reaching the top 10 in 88 countries and accumulating 12.8 million views in the past week.

The Crown” secured the second position with 5.8 million views, while the action dramedy “Obliterated,” starring Shelley Hennig, claimed the third spot with 5.2 million views. “World War II: From the Frontlines” and the reality show “Squid Game: The Challenge” rounded out the top 5 at the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
